The problem is we have a dog to figure out. Our older dog was pretty low maintenance and our family members would have easily been able to take care of her. Our new dog is large and needs walks and play time. So we are looking at a kennel for him for the month. (We looked and we are not able to bring him with us ) The first problem I've noticed is that for one month I'm looking at anywhere from $1000-1500 total. The other problem is I have no experience in putting a dog in a kennel. We've always been able to find a sitter or a hotel that takes pets. Also, is ok for a dog to be in a kennel for that long?

Any help will be apprecited.
